Physical Approaches to Quantifying Dynamic Processes in Living Systems

[featuredposts]

Direct manipulation and probing of biological processes at the single-molecule and single-cell levels can be used to produce novel scientific insights with unprecedented precision and resolution. Single molecule and single cell techniques probe the physical properties of diverse biological systems, thus unveiling the essential role embodied by noise and fluctuations within biological processes. Utilizing these techniques, our center of excellence will be a research hub for three main interconnected themes: biomolecular systems, cellular processes, and the development of novel methods.
